Introduction

Argos takes the following types of data:

• ASCII data arranged in table form.

• Data of the CSW file format. Data sets of this format have a .csw suffix at the end of their file names. This is the default format when a data set is exported from Argos.

• Data of the FASL file format. This is a binary data format. Data sets of this format have a .fasl suffix on UNIX machines and a .fsl suffix on MS Windows machines.

This chapter gives detailed descriptions of data input and output.
